Pioupiou Proto

Pioupiou Proto

Yeah!

I made a very first series of prototypes, to start testing this new Pioupiou in real conditions.

I sent 4 of these to our first KissKissBankers. We eagerly await their opinions.

We are also going to put one at the top of the Sept Laux resort, to see what it looks like in very wintery conditions.

I printed in white, since that's what I had on hand. And finally, I find that it does not hurt. Afterwards, perhaps black is better for melting snow in the sun? What about UV resistance?

In short, it's progressing quite well 🙂

And we had a good laugh again... I even stole my friends' car to make a homemade wind tunnel:

Now that these prototypes are on the way, I will be able to start taking care of the website. In priority: description and map of beacons, as well as API for data access.

And as soon as we have feedback on these prototypes, I'm making a second series to replace the "old" Pioupious from this summer.

A+

  1. who did you send the 4 pioupiou to? am I concerned?
if so, I am moving on 15/01 ….to which address did it go?

sorry to bother you but if it's yes it would be a shame to misplace it...

    Good luck …

  2. One of the Pioupious arrived at Pierrefitte-Nestalas, in the Argeles-Gazost valley south of Lourdes, in the garden of Jean-Louis Darlet.

The robot indicates that the signal quality is limited.

It warms its wings and as soon as the conditions are good, its nest will be set up when the Cabaliros takes off (http://www.vimeo.com/21577393) with winter conditions that can be difficult…

  3. Regarding the API, what type of standard do you intend to rely on?

I love the concept of the answering machine with the not very sexy voice 😉 , you have to keep it!! How did you do? do you maintain an Asterisk server or is it a specific service that you rent?

  4. If you are interested, we should be able to install one easily in the plagnes at the collet d'allevard. The club had its beacon up there before we lowered it to the decor.

If you're interested, don't hesitate to contact me.
