Home stretch

I have good news and bad news.

The good news is that I received the fuselage.

The bad news is that I no longer know where I stored the camera that takes the beautiful photos. So if you want to see it in person, come to the aperitif tomorrow.

Short.

The plastic doesn't look bad. It's beautiful, it's shiny and it even fits together! Rather relieved.

Let's remember that this is only the second plastic part I've made in my life. The first one - the propeller - had messed up the first shot. So there was a lot of suspense.

So the step 10 more boxes cluttering the desk " ☑ Validated

After'excitement (pronounced with an American accent) Christmas, there were a lot of little things to manage. We will note 3, notable:

– 2 hours of kerosene to play consultant at Météo-France, explain how we were going to document on Github the distribution, via Bittorrent, of their model data in open-data. (Yes yes, I know. That's way too much info in one sentence)

– A good laugh when a salesman drove 60km just to come and get me to sign a contract. Especially since the box in question was La Poste…

– Finally, a stupid little mistake that had slipped into the electronic cards ordered last week. Luckily, I haven't soldered anything on it yet. Well, it's nothing very dramatic, but it's mostly a waste of time. I will see on Monday if it is better to throw 700 € in the trash and add eight days of delay, or if we can just solder the wire in the wrong place.

A rather typical week, what.

The rest of the time, it was in front of a screen that looked like this:

Translation: rewrite less messy » of the Pioupiou internal software.

In short, it's really the last straight line.

Now I am waiting to receive the missing parts. I settled everything at the level of the subcontractors. It's ready to go, as soon as I have everything.

  1. And well a p….n phew of relief that you will be able to push in a few times !!! I'm afraid you'll be bored when everything is delivered... oh no it's true that after the feedback there will be 50 million left to produce... and that's the beginning of the real shit 😉
