All the Pioupious ordered have been delivered!
This is the first big good news – and also a big relief for me 🙂
Reopening of orders
We have a few Pioupious left on this second batch. We will put them on sale next week on pioupiou.fr, priced at €399 including tax.
No more endless pre-orders. These devices are in stock, so they will be shipped within 24 or 48 hours!

Internal software update
In June, we discovered a bug in Pioupiou's Sigfox chip.
This bug, recognized by the supplier, causes the blocking of the device after 90 days of operation.
To make matters worse, it's this same bug that caused the problem last winter. At the time we misdiagnosed it like a battery connection problem. It almost sank the company.
Now all is fine. The manufacturer has made a fix.
If your Pioupiou has a number lower than 450, it is necessary to update its internal software. This requires intervention in after-sales service (contact support@pioupiou.fr) or at the Coupe Icare. To find out if this has already been done, click here.
For all new Pioupious, the problem is fixed.
Naming of the Pioupious
Now that the pressure has subsided, we have started working on the site again.
It should be possible to rename the Pioupious before the Coupe Icare.
New Pioupiou and Coupe Icare

I've been following your adventure for a year and I've been looking to buy one from you with friends for 3 months. I'm happy to learn that it's starting up again…but the price has changed…it's a shame…we're changing budget category.
We come up against harsh economic reality.

– increase the price and sell fewer devices, but ensure quality service

in 12 bytes you can send a lot of things.
on 10 bytes I send Pressure / Temperature in / Temperature Out / Humidity In / Humidity Out / Wind speed / Wind direction / Dew point / Precipitation… It is a proof of the concept on Raspberry with VERY General public sensors but it was to relax and above all to show customers that the 12 Byte limit is a false problem in many cases.

A crowdfunding site is not a site for buying a completely finished product, debugged and designed by a multinational sized to provide super-efficient after-sales service.
A crowdfunding site gives an individual (or startup) the chance to design and create an innovative product.
By participating in such crowdfunding, one must be aware of this and the possible risks. Reread the T&Cs/T&Cs.
With pioupiou, there were indeed some problems, but I believe that the final product corresponds to the initial description.
Many projects in which I participated never saw the light of day (or was simply fraud that I was unable to flush out), and in addition it was by startups that were much more sized on pioupiou. That's the game.
If you want a bug-free product, you don't take the risk of investing like that.
For my part, I have nothing to reproach Nicolas, because he provided after-sales service twice (Saturday, breakdown service in 2 minutes at the Coupe Icare; of course you have to be lucky enough to be able to get there , but it allows you to discuss with the designer and understand many things).
He could just as easily have slammed the door at the first difficulty and not faced up to his responsibilities and abandoned his technological, industrial project.
Good luck for Pioupiou v2 presented these last days at the Coupe Icare which brings some technological evolutions resulting from the experience drawn from the 1st version. Among other remote updates if necessary.
