Pioupiou, bankruptcy and future.

Pioupiou, bankruptcy and future.

Today, I learn through customers that the company Altostratus
Belgium (Pioupiou V2) has officially opened bankruptcy proceedings.

Factors
announced to us that the Sigfox connection contract was expiring on August 1st. They don't seem to have any intention of
renew the contract, highlighting the liquidation of the company
Belgian.

The subject is a bit more complicated than that.

– What about French society? The Sigfox contract has always been in his name. I have not yet heard of a recovery or liquidation concerning it.

– What are the obligations in the event of a possible takeover?

We are in a big gray area here.

Pioupiou customers have contacted me. A 1901 law association is being set up to defend the interests of current customers and users. They asked for my help and I accepted.

The survival of the network must be ensured whatever happens and by all means. However, the obligations of the Altostratus FR/BE companies and their potential buyers should not be erased.

We will therefore wait to see what happens in the days to come.

If it ever cuts, we'll let you know.

  1. Hello.

I have a piuopiou without battery. I will start it soon.
    Will my PiouPiou work?
How can I contact the association?

    Thanks
    Chomin.

  2. Nicolas, I am looking at how the FFVL could take over the Sigfox subscriptions at its expense to ensure the continuity of these beacons which benefit thousands of users. Please contact me on my 06.

    1. Hello, we had a little respite but this time, no more Pioupiou.
Maybe we could find a solution to group users (clubs, schools etc…) in order to resume a subscription to the Sigfox network!?

  3. The carbon footprint will take a hit if the beacons die! The interrogation of beacons, before going to a site, often made us "save" kilometers of (co)car.

  4. It will come back in a few days. I made arrangements with the liquidator to take over management of the network and connections.

  5. Until now, I found our Pioupiou(s) very useful, since they are no longer online, I find them essential. Thank you Nicolas for what you have done and thank you for what you are going to do...
