After all these adventures, the situation has recovered well.

The map expands

The Pioupious victims of youthful mistakes have been corrected and are back in service.

They have started to bloom again in the four corners of France.

Some devices had to go through the after-sales service box a second time. Fortunately, this only concerned 1% of them, and for minor problems: human error during editing, invisible during tests… No more big problems on the horizon. However, I took the opportunity to improve the test and quality control protocols.

The new series is coming

It was impossible for me to give a precise deadline until all the details were fixed.

Despite the apparent simplicity of the product, we have to deal with dozens of different suppliers and subcontractors. It is enough for one to have difficulties for the whole calendar to be upset.

For the axis of the propeller alone, there are 4 stakeholders: the material supplier, the bar turner, the rectifier and finally the passivation.

Now everything seems settled. We should have received all the parts and the assembled electronics by the end of the month.

According to this schedule, we will be able to deliver the Pioupiou already ordered the first week of July.

Reopening of orders

I will wait to have delivered all the Pioupious already ordered before re-opening sales. I will have some in stock.

For the moment, I have no sale price to announce. We are still thinking about the economic model: sale of devices, monthly rental?...

Rest assured all the same: the goal is to democratize the object. We are not going to make Pioupious at 1000 € 🙂

Pioupiou is now based in Liège, Belgium. As far as possible, I would prefer to have collaborators in the same premises as me. If you ever feel interested in one of the positions but are not ready to move, do not hesitate to apply anyway.

Worried about joining a small business? Pioupiou is installed within a ecosystem of several startups, all of which have fairly similar skill requirements. If ever Pioupiou were to die out, the other startups would rush to hire their old neighbor they already know. In this sector of activity, the unemployment rate is particularly low.
