Funeral wedding

Funeral wedding

Take a good look there...

Do you know what that means?

Yes, I finally received the long-awaited new axes!

The supplier is two weeks late, and so am I, because I sent you the deadline he told me directly − I was stupid.

Good. Now the axles are there, that's the main thing.

That was the good news. Suffice to say, the sequel is less funny.

where it gets stuck

I was a little too rushed to quickly settle this problem of axles and bearings. I had planned to do a slightly tight fit on the axle. But I was wrong about the tolerances.

For Experts : I thought of doing H6m6, except that in fact the bore of the bearings were in M6 and not H6. So, I ended up with M6m6. It would have taken M6h6 or M6j6.

For the less expert: the shaft diameter is a few micrometers too big (1um = 0,001mm). You have to force it in − it deforms the bearing which suddenly no longer rolls well.

And now ?

I have two choices:

– Either have the shafts rectified. That's the real technical term. This means removing the few extra micrometers using a grinding machine.

– Either rebuild everything if they cannot be rectified.

Concretely, I was supposed to go to PACS tomorrow then leave for a few days in " honeymoon – something planned for a long time given the delays of the TGI. So I'm going to have to find a romantic moment between signing the paper and going on vacation to take care of these axes. I know a lady who will appreciate it. It's nice, entrepreneurship 🙂

So: I launch the rectification, and I disappear for a week. It will take at least that to recover a little. This kind of adventure weighs on morale.

Meanwhile, the factory is starting to work so that we have these damn axles very quickly. I don't know yet how long it will take them.

  1. Enjoy , enjoy your life , work is not everything .. chirp a little and you will pioup better later .

lots of good things to the pacs……

  2. I'm a little off topic
The pioupiou 38 hasn't been sending data for 4 hours this morning, apparently the signal is good >21 db

    1. well I disassembled the piou it is a Pb of battery by removing it and reassembling it the signal has returned is it temporary we will see

    2. a simple thing about axis manufacturing:
if Nicolas had given the subcontractor a few model bearings, the adjustment would have been exact.
      and thus avoid unpleasant surprises…
      MA

  3. the pioupious 294 and 1013 are also stranded ????????????
    there must be a contagion!!!
We are waiting for Nicolas' return to see if we return them to after-sales service.

    1. I just looked at all the pioupiou just now.
Of the 235 that have been lit, there are 38 Pioupious extinguished or in a carafe or…..
I hope they are extinct!! but 38/235 ouch ouch!!!

    2. The number of extinct Pioupious is not representative since some were dismantled for the winter or to change bearings. There are also old prototypes which no longer exist in reality but which are still in the database.

    3. Hello,
Yes, but certain on "state":on and "success": true and no measurements….
27, 52, 69…. would they be on and in their box??

  4. The Pioupiou 128 has not responded for 60 hours. And it hasn't been or put away for the winter.

In my opinion, the API and the website does not really reflect what is happening: the status is "on" for the last date, i.e. 60 hours ago. It would be more realistic to report that it is "off" as soon as we exceed a certain time without news (N x 12 minutes, N small). Ditto for the website which continues to display the last level of reception of the signal in dB, signal which has not been received for 60 hours.

    1. you cannot rely on the reception level the value you have is the last reception value sent to SGIFOX
I'm going to take a look at the 1032 but I won't be surprised that it's a battery problem

  5. In view of the possible risks of blockage announced at the level of the axes and the bearings, we have three pioupious still waiting to be installed!
The "command" has been freshly initiated. The ball is in Wind Company's court. 😉

  6. WARNING: Following the many messages I have received, I remind you that you must not disassemble the Pioupiou yourself, otherwise the warranty will be voided. In 90% of cases, I have the data to do the remote diagnosis. Also, Pioupiou's technology is very concentrated and there is not much that can be repaired without going through my lab.

  7. Uh ... I may be coming after the war but for your axle story you still have three solutions to put the axles in the bearings:

    – Heat the bearings to expand them
    – Put your axes in the freezer to contract them
    – Do both at the same time
