Back

Let's start with good news: that's it, the company is " great ". I received the new K-Bis:

So now it's the wind company », with €35 in capital.

Finally… These stories of name and capital, it's never more than marketing talk to appear more credible to the old (bank, public aid). " I have a bigger one ". In truth, not much has changed.

The only real consequence is that I will have to do tons of paperwork to inform all the services of the change of name and address… Yippee!

Back to the axes

In the last episode, I had just received the new axles − which were not the right size. In the meantime, I was able to manage a little.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to rectify them (too little material to remove). They have to be completely redone.

Either. We contacted about fifty companies. Each time it was the same thing: minimum period of one month.

It takes a lot of time because there are 3 stages in the making. And each step goes through a different factory:

– turning: where the axes are turned to give them the right shape

– grinding: where we nibble a few micrometers of material to have a finish with exact dimensions

– passivation: where the stainless steel is treated to make its surface more resistant to corrosion.

All this takes place in the Arve valley, at the foot of Mont-Blanc.

Eventually, I was able to manage to speed up the process a bit. I expect to receive the new axles in about a week (I hope?!).

mysterious evil

I have several Pioupious who died in recent days, almost all at the same time (?!). I am investigating to try to understand where the problem comes from.

From the data I have, it doesn't seem to be coming from the software. I suspect oxidation of the battery contacts.

As a precaution, I have already re-designed the battery connection and ordered the new parts for all the Pioupious. If necessary, the modification can be made at the same time as the bearings. I am awaiting the results of the first autopsies. To be continued…

The road is long and difficult, but we persist!

The building site

After finally finishing my personal move, I hope to be able to finish the office move this week. It'll ease the workload a bit.

Notice to Grenoble residents: we will have to make a rack.

The oueb site

With all these adventures, I never have time to take care of finishing the website…

So, here is the solution: we will go step by step, little by little. Starting today, I'm committing to adding one feature per week.

  1. WARNING: Following the many messages I have received, I remind you that you must not disassemble the Pioupiou yourself, otherwise the warranty will be voided. In 90% of cases, I have the data to do the remote diagnosis. Also, Pioupiou's technology is very concentrated and there is not much that can be repaired without going through my lab.
